Conference

Rebuilding a Better Airline Training System

Conference Details

Once again, the European Airline Training Symposium (EATS) is being planned as a live, in-person conference.

This follows on from the very successful WATS Live 2021 event in Orlando in June.

With the arrival of vaccines, the situation is gradually improving and travel is picking up again, steadily. Travel restrictions are being lifted in many countries, and we can now hope for a strong restart of our industry. Whilst this is good news, it also brings its challenges. Many aviation professionals have left the industry, and some are not interested in coming back. Those who do need adaptive training.

This situation is an opportunity to re-think our training habits. Now is the moment to look at:

• New technologies such as VR/AR/MR/XR
• Learn from the recent experience of distance learning
• Skill decay
• Post-pandemic training of cabin crew (including unruly pax)
• EBT/CBTA
• Recruitment and mental health

We want to use EATS 2021 to discuss these crucial points under the theme:

Rebuilding a Better Airline Training System

As usual, we will have two conference streams:

• Air Carrier Pilot Training

• Cabin Crew Training
